CHINESE MARINATED SWEET
     & SOUR SALAD

     1 lg. onion, thinly sliced
     1 green pepper, sliced
     1 can French style green beans
     1 can bean sprouts
     1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, sliced
     1 can shoe peg corn
     1 jar pimento, chopped
     1 c. celery, sliced
     1 sm. cauliflower, cut in buds
     3 med. carrots, shredded
     1 c. water chestnuts, sliced

       Drain all ingredients well. Combine.

 
 

--DRESSING:--
     1 1/2 c. vinegar
     1 c. salad oil
     2 c. sugar
     6 tsp. salt
     Pepper to taste

 

     DRESSING: Combine.
     Immediately pour over vegetable
     mixture, cover and refrigerate at once.
     Keeps  indefinitely. Serves 18.
