HAWAIIAN TURKEY BURGERS
 
     1 lb ground turkey
     1/2 C dry bread crumbs
     1/2 C red bell pepper chopped,
     1/2 C thinly sliced green onion
     1 t. finely chopped fresh ginger root
     1/2 t. salt
     1 can (8 oz) pineapple slices, reserving juices
     1 C teriyaki sauce.
 
     Combine turkey, bread crumbs, bell pepper, green onions,
     ginger root, salt and 1/4 C pineapple juice; mix gently.
 
     Form mixture into 4 patties Baste with teriyaki sauce the
     last 2 minutes of grilling. Grill pineapple slices 5 minutes, basting
     w/teriyaki sauce.
 
     Serve on burger buns with pineapple slice on top. Also good
     with lettuce,  honey mustard and red onion slice.
