i have 25. (my teammates have 24 and 25).

it varies from year to year...especially depending on if there are 3 at our grade or 2. last year the 5th grades (2 of them) were full, but we got to have 3 6th grades this year--doesn't really seem fair. oh well.

i have had 32 before and i've also ended the year with 17 (that year i had 24 or so and they just dropped like flies and i never got any new ones)!

Currently I have 24 in my homeroom, there are 26 and 27 in the other two homerooms. I am new to this grade, and have been told to expect to add students throughout the year.

I was curious because I have 30 in my morning and 32 in the afternoon. We don't even have enough desks.

I have

24 in HR, anywhere from 14 to 27 in departmentalized science class. Last year we had way more...I had 34 in one class and 29 in the smallest. We added a 6th grade teacher this year and WHEW! Much better!

I have 21, 22, and 23 kids in my three language blocks. I feel fortunate to have smallish classes.

shh!

I have only 6 students in my regular classroom. It is great!. We get so much done. I can take them home with me for lunch in my van. I have only one girl in my class, but she get along with the boys very well. The only bad thing is it is hard to play any team sports with them. We are a very close-knit group.

small but......

I teach a 5/6 combo. I have 9 students in each class and rarely have them at the same time. The fifth graders are very good and we can do a lot of neat things. The sixth grade is another story, even though I only have 9, four of them are very challenging and it makes it really hard to get through a lesson!

I have 22 in my class, this is the largest class in my school. We are fortunate to have small class sizes.

Curious: Why only 6 kids in your class, sounds like a utopia.

Keep on adding

We just had three new students in the last two weeks of school, so that means two classes of 27 and one class of 28. Too many kids and way too many papers to correct....urgh! I used to think that 22 was a large number, but I would dream of having classes of 22 now!

I have 15 in my homerooom and 12 in the 2nd block. I teach in a private school so the class sizes are kept small.

I am currently at 23 students and my teaching partner has 22. That is the smallest class size I've had in years---but I am sure it will grow. School hasn't even started yet...plus I always get a couple of new kids throughout the year. <!--schoolbus-->
