advanced reader

Does anyone have a student who is reading far above grade level? I don't have any other student who is close. We do reading groups and she is in a group by herself. Any ideas for interesting projects/book reports/research that would be challenging and fun?

Advanced Readers

I teach 1st grade in an inclusion classroom. I am currently having trouble as well with my advanced students. I seem to have 4 distinct reading levels and am having difficulty keeping everyone on task. My advanced readers love to read but its hard to make them do it all day while my other students are getting the extra help they need. I could use some advise as well.
