Baby gift for grandma

My mom will be watching our little guy once I return to work in the spring. She says all she wants for Christmas is stuff for the baby. She already has a pack n play, clothes, diapers, car seat, travel swing and many toddler toys. Does anyone have an idea of something I could buy her for Chirstmas that she might need for the baby. I am trying to finish up my shopping this week. Thanks so much!

small silverware

Feeding spoons, bibs, DVD player with soothing music, extra bottles, sipper cups, diaper rash medicine, and that's all I can think of for now.

Thanks Hescollin

Our baby will be 8 weeks old when I return to work. I didn't even think of bibs, feeding spoons and sipper cups, I guess I was just thinking of bigger gifts but I can bet she will need these things also. Thanks again!

camera?

If she doesn't have one already.. I'd suggest a really good digital camera so she can capture all those special moments that happen... one of the things a friend and I did when our children were small (before the invent of digitals) was take a roll of film each month for the first two or three years - you'd be amazed how much they change in just a few weeks when they're that young... I think having a digital to record those little day to day things would be great.

I agree that a digital camera sounds like a great idea! She can use that when she takes care of your DS, but she can use it other times too.

Good idea

but they already have one. They own their own real estate appraising business and they have tons of cameras at their house. That is why I am having such a hard time shopping because they have everything. I really do appreciate all the ideas that are coming in. Thanks everyone!

stroller, baby carrier (a must in my opinion!), jumperoo, bouncy seat, exersaucer...

I would recommend the Ergo baby carrier. I tried one on last weekend and am getting one of those. You can wear your baby on your front, side, and back. It's comfortable too. That would be great for your mom to use to go outside, walk around the house, go on walks, etc.

inexpensive, but fun for Grandma's

My mom and mother-in-law watch my son (they split the week). When I first went back to work, I bought them each some 'Grandma Notes". It's just a cute personalized notepad that said "A Note from the Grandma of Bradyn". I gave it to them with a "grandma" picture frame. They loved it!

baby gift

This may sound over the top but a must. A car seat (set up and have it ready to go - this is something you don't want to leave to chance that somebody knows how to do and it is a hassle to keep taking yours in and out etc..) and a mirror to attach to the window so that you can see baby at a glance when you look in the rear view mirror.

changing table

Does your mom have a good place to change your son? No matter how young she is-changing diapers on a bed or on the floor won't be good for her back. A changing table at a good height for the adult and with a waist strap for the baby will keep everyone safe.
