Babysitting...unprofessional

I am sitting in my classroom with 24 of my 27 students...we have been together for the last hour...it is our musical tonight...I am so tired and just want to go HOME!!! Yes, they are being pretty good, but it is just the idea...this is not what I want to be doing with my evening...we get no comp time, no extra pay...nothing...just the music teachers undieing gratitude...it is not her fault...but if we are forced to do another one I am going to be SICK! This is just WAY above and beyond what should be expected...what other professional would be asked to do this?

On a happier note, we had our Girls on the Run banquet tonight and it was FABULOUS!!! All the parents were so appreciative of all we had done for their daughters..it is so nice to be appreciated! The girls loved all of their end of GOTR goodies we gave them....It is such a wonderful program and I can't wait to do it again next year! I am trying to find the newspaper article on line so I can give you all the link...

Well parents are coming to get their kids...YEAH!

Gordon's not likely to win his 5th championship and I'm in a deep depression over it and I'm supposed to give you sympathy? Sorry, I'm in one of those moods today. It stinks that you have to do that. I hope none of your parents are later than expected.
