We saw it last night. It is animated so not that scary. It had parts that were pretty ridiculous (don't want to give any of it away). Let's just say that it isn't a movie for children. I wouldn't recommend seeing it. It wasn't very good.
We didn't see it in 3D, shucks!, but I really loved it. I am not usually a fan of action and epic stories, but it was truly done well. I am so surprised so many of you didn't...
The 3D is what I'm excited about... And just learned last night that Neil Gaiman collaborated on the screenplay (which could explain some of the parts that seemed ridiculous). Reviews I've seen and read this weekend said the IMAX 3D is the best way to see it. We saw Zemeckis' Polar Express in IMAX 3D and it was awesome! I'm hoping this one lives up to the hype.
