Best Workshop Ever

I am so excited. I just got back from the best workshop I have ever went to! It was by Judi Wolf at B.E.R.. I think their website is www.ber.org anyway, it was about how to use the internet in the classroom. It gave us hundreds of useful free websites and things that we could start using tomorrow. The presenter even wants us to keep in touch with her. She is planning on emailing us more information.

I thought that I was doing really well on my own using the internet in the classroom. Now I can't wait to really use it daily with my smartboard.

So if you have the chance to take a workshop, I highly recommend this one.

Gloria...I have been to a couple reading workshops offered through BER, and from my experience, they are always very useful. I just love the book you get to take home!

I teach 5th grade reading. If you have any useful free websites, please share some! I have just installed a multimedia projector in my classroom this year, so I am always looking for new ways to use it!

I've been to two really good workshops....

I went to a FISH philosophy workshop this past summer, and it was WONDERFUL!!!!

And, a couple years ago, I did LifeSkills Training, Levels I, and the next Spring I did Level II training, and loved every minute of it.
It was very informative, on finding new ways to reach kids, and especially troubled kids, and gave ideas on activities we could do with the students to teach skills, and there is a huge book that they give you when you complete the training, so you can use it as a reference.

I still use some of those activities with my classes, and I teach music.
