Biting Help

What have you tried before to stop your toddlers from biting? My new 18 month old foster son is a biter. He has bitten the 2 year old hard enough to break the skin.

Any suggestions would be great....except for biting him back. I can't do any form of corpal punishment.

I would highly recommend you purchasing this book...Teeth are Not for Biting by Elizabeth Verdick...and reading it to your 18 month old. After reading it to your 18 month old, there are tips for parents in the back of the book that assist you in helping your child stop biting.

Thanks Bethany! I ordered the book. I also have the Love and Logic Magic for Early Childhood ordered and on its way. I already have a copy of the love and logic book but I can't find it.

Having an almost 3 year old and an 18 month old is a lot harder than having my twin girls. Wow...boys sure are different.
