Book reviews

Today, I introduced book reviews to my students. I went onto Amazon.com and looked up reviews for a few books. I simply copy pasted a few for about three different books and put them on a page with the title and author. I then put then into a binder. I read a few to the children adn placed the binder in the station. I challenged the studetns to write good reviews for their peers and told them that if they do a good job, I would post their reviews on the web too. (We do not have enough computers for the kids to type them themselves, so I would have to do this) They were so excited. I noticed that two students were writing reviews right away. I think this is a real motivator for students to write their opinions about literature.
