Book Series for 5th grader

Reading | Literature

This is a question about my DD, but thought you wonderful 5th grade teachers would be best to ask. My 5th grade DD is an avid reader. I am looking for some suggestions of book series she could read. She has already read the following series: Harry Potter, Keeper of the Lost Cities, Hunger Games, City of Ember, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dork Diaries, Dear Dumb Diary, How I Survived Middle School, Chronicles of Narnia.

She has also enjoyed books by: Judy Blume, Sharon Creech, Carl Hiaasen, Gordon Korman, Andrew Clements.

I'm sure there are some I am forgetting. I have tried having her ask some of her friends what they are reading, but she seems to be the "leader: in what to read next. :)

The Gregor the Overlander Series, The Thief of Always by Clive Barker, anything by Kate DiCamillo, there are several series and stand alone books by Margaret Peterson Haddix, Katherine Applegate is another author to look into. Happy reading :)

I'll second the Gregor the Overlander series by Suzanne Collins author of Hunger Games. Also, the Among the Hidden Series by Magaret Peteren Haddix and her other books as well. Also good are books by Liesl Shurtliff, she rewrites fairy tales into entertaining novels. And maybe books by Sarah Prineas. You didn't mention the Percy Jackson series by Riordan, that's pretty good too.

What about...

Among the Hidden series
Mysterious Benedict Society series
any book by Raina Telgemeier (Smile, Drama, Sisters)
Amulet series (It's a weird graphic novel series that my highest 4th graders love.)

I second the Gregor the Overlander series. She should also read the Percy Jackson Series and the other mythology based Rick Riordan books. My fifth graders eat both of these up every year! I love them, too!
