I need help with a catchy theme for a set of games with a decimal theme. The games have to do with reading, writing, and naming decimals. They are part of a PLS (if anyone knows what that means!) and I need a catchy title to go with Decimals.

Please help!

What about...

something using alliteration.
*Destiny of a decimal
*Decimal decisions
*deciphering decimals

Alliteration often sticks in kids minds, so the skills taught may be easily recalled. Good luck!

By the way, what is a PLS?

It is...

part of this project I'm working on. See... I am in the class called Learning Theory and part of what we are learning about our Multi-Instructional Packages (MIP). In a MIP you have seven games... they are... a flip chute, electroboard, task cards, poke-a-hole, floor games, PLS (Programmed Learning Sequence), and a CAP (Contract Activity Package). Anyway... :-) a PLS is a book that is shaped like the topic (for example a castle if you were doing one on fairy tales) and inside there is a short story (to engage the student), the subject is taught through story, questions and answers (to review), jokes/humor, a post test (and pretest) and sometimes it includes a audio tape for non-readers. It is actually very interesting and engages learners however, it would take a LONG time to make one! I wanted to see if someone was selling them online (because I would buy one) but no such luck!

Thanks for the titles!

They sound great!

I would love to use things like that to engage students. Unfortunately, we're tied to using the district approved curriculum and very little else! Sometimes I wonder why we went to school when all they want us to do is follow the TE. Couldn't anyone do that?

How about...

... you arrange the games in some sort of mall looking thing and call it

Deci Mall

Ooh, that was bad. Sorry
