Chocolate Sacher Torte

Does anyone have a recipe for a chocolate sacher torte? We have a recipe for an original, very complicated version, but we used to have an easier version as well. I remember that it had an apricot filling with brandy extract.

De'anna- I only have one recipe for sacher torte, and it is really complicated. I'll keep checking....I don't think mine has an apricot filling... ok- yes it does! I found a recipe online at www.recipelink.com that seems very clear. It looks like most of the recipes are pretty involved. I wonder about making a chocolate pound cake and filling it? That would probably be too heavy, now that I think about it. Sorry- I am not much of a help.

Thanks for replying. That recipe seems similar to the one I remember. I thought the recipe that we used to make either didn't use flour or didn't use sugar. I can't remember which. We're just gonna have to try a few to see if one of those recipes tastes the same. It's a very rich, flavorful cake. It's heavier than a regular chocolate cake. We used to make it every holiday season until we moved, and then we misplaced/lost the recipe.
