Cleaning Chalkboards

Ms. K

Full Member
I have noticed that a couple of my individual chalkboards have crayon on them. Does anyone know how I can clean it off?

Thanks!

Try this

Try using WD-40. It is a solvent and I have used it to get melted crayon out of clothes.;)

Other possibilities

If WD-40 doesn't work, I thought of some other possibilities. I wondered if a warm cloth or hot water would melt it away. I thought of GooGone which removes so many things. I wondered if a mild abrasive like Soft Scrub might work. I know how important these boards are in checking student understanding, so I wish you success.:)
