cornucopia

The other first grade teacher that I work with had this great idea. During her student teaching she saw her class make a cornucopia with food, but she forgot what kind of food they had. (They glued the food onto a cornucopia print out.) She knows that we need pretzels for the basket. Does anyone do this with their class and if you do what kinds of food do you use? Thanks for your help.

just an idea

You could use runts. They are fruit shaped and are very colorful. My old kindergarten class used to make cornucopias out of runts and bugels. (The chips shaped like a cone.)

I use a sugar cone and found gummy snacks in the shape of fruits. I stuff the cone with a big marshmallow and use frosting as the glue for the fruits.
