cultural context of events

I"m a new SS teacher and I would like to bring history alive by putting events into their social/cultural context. For example, for the French and Indian War and the Amer. Revolution, I would like to talk about the music, medicine, and art of the time.

Before I recreate the wheel, is there a place I can go to find this stuff?
