Do you teach at a secular school?

I am looking to correspond with another teacher "in my shoes". I teach at a small secular private school, grades Pre-K - 8th, of about 200 students. I'm looking to talk about salary, what you use for discipline, principal support, etc.

I have before

I taught at an independent school last year. We had PK-12 with about 300 students. Do you have specific questions?

General Questions...

Basically, I'm curious to know the salaries the teachers at your school made, how much the parents were catered to (if at all), if you had a school-wide or classroom character ed program, and what your school (or you personally) used for discipline.

I would be glad to correspond with you. I had previously taught in a small Catholic school of about 150 students , PK3 - 8th,for 14 years until it closed this past May. I am now at a small neighboring school this year,PK3-6, that has about 140 students. Email withyou thoughts or questions.

I'll answer

I have taught at a small poor inner-city catholic school with about 140 students.

I now teach at a large 520 students middle to upper middle class school.

I'll answer any questions you have.

SoCalTeach: I will be starting a new position in exactly the school you are describing (also in Southern California!)

Perhaps we can chat soon. PM me if you are interested.
