Door decorating contest

Our school is having a door decorating contest. The doors will be judged November 30th so we don't have much time. Does anyone have any ideas? (2nd grade) Ideas that would go along with a zoo theme would be a plus. Thanks!

glitter!

You could use your overhead to trace the outline of some zoo animals on the paper, then use glitter to decorate the animals. I did a whole flag on my door once in glitter. It was stunning! They have lots of different colors at the craft store. You could ask parents to send in certain colors. Make sure you only do one color at a time so that the glue has a chance to dry. You might consider doing the glittering outside since it can be kind of messy using the large piece of paper. I hope this helps some.

My student's are real gifts and cover small boxes and design as gifts.


2nd grade is a real jungle in December and decorate the door with trees, lists, animals, garland, trees

Pennies for the Penguins ( decorate door with pennies in the shape of a penguin and donate it to the zoo for Penguin use)

Do a song to the 12 days of Christmas EX;

On the first day of Christmas my Zoo Friends gave to me a Zoo that is Fun and Free

On the Second day of Christmas my Zoo Friends gave to me two climbing monkeys and a Zoo that is Fun and Free (have 2 climbling monkeys on the door, etc)

On the third day of Christmas my Zoo friends gave to me three snorting pigs, twon climbing monkeys and a Zoo that is fun and free (have 3 pigs, etc)
