Early pregnancy tests and early signs???

Did any of you take a pregnancy test before a missed pregnancy using for example the Clearblue 5 days sooner digital preg. test? If so how well did it detect it that soon? In addition how soon did you have symptoms or signs of pregnancy? What were some of them?

5 years ago when I tested at just about this time of year, I had only one early sign..I had to get up in the middle of the night to pee. I never have to do that otherwise. I did not use the test before my period was due. I took it right about the time it was due. I saw results almost instantly, which was an amazing feeling since we'd tried for almost 4 years to get pg! Good luck to you. Try it and see...keep us posted. Other early signs CAN be tender breasts, and feeling like you are getting your period. You know, I did feel crampy now that I think of it. Just like when you get your period. So, I guess I had 2 signs.

It worked for me...

I was 4 days before my missed period. I did a ClearBlue Easy digi so that I wouldn't have to worry about faint lines. Never thinking it would be + as it was our first month to try.

I tested early only because I was SOOOOOO exhausted that I couldn't even keep my eyes open in the middle of the day! I thought I was just out of shape and wanted to clarify!

Let me just add that there are NO false positives. So if you got one then chances are you are pregnant! Best of luck!

Strong Sense of smell

That was my first sign! and Sore Breast!!!! and crampy! Gagged at everything. Brushing my teeth was a chore. I thought I had the flu and was close to my period.

preg test

I took a Clearblue Easy digital test 4 days before my period was due and got a negative result. A child in my grade level had fifths disease, so I thought I should test. My boobs were SOOOOO sore as well, but the test came up negative. When my period was due and I did not get it on the day I was suppose to, I took another test (same brand) and it came up positive. I guess my hormone levels weren't high enough yet on the first test.

I also took the early detection test (actually, 3 of them!) and they all came up negative. The week before my period was due, my boobs ACHED and I absolutely could not stop eating everything in sight (before morning sickness hit!). Turns out the early test was wrong.

Tried early test

I went ahead and gave it a go. I've felt very tired and have had cramping and we had really given it a go (hahaha) based on my ovulation this time (we hadn't done that before). I'm sad to say though the test (3 days early) was negative. Based on many of your responses I'm wondering if I should wait and see if my period comes and depending on that retest or try the ovulation kit again. I've been off bc for over 6 months and I'm 33....I'm a bit anxious...I hope this isn't a sign of things to come

Testing

It could still be early. There are such things as a false positive. Some women have negative HPT for 6 weeks AFTER their missed periods.

Did you test first thing in the morning? Urine is most concentrated in the mornng allowing for higher levels of Hcg.

Have talked with your OB/GYN yet? Usually, if you have been trying for 6 months or longer and you are over 30 they recommend you come in.

My early tests...

My early tests all came back negative. The day I missed my period was the first day I got a positive test. SORE boobs were my first clue that I was pregnant. That started about a week before my period was due. Good luck.
