We are writing bunny "tales" on bunny tail shaped papers. We are putting these on a bboard that says we're hopping over our bunny tales. We will also make a bunny face pocket out of an envelope. Then the Easter bunny will leave treats in the pockets during recess. My classes have always loved making the bunny pockets with many of them asking for extra envelopes so younger brothers and sisters can make them at home as well.
I usually do one non fiction writing, I read an information book about rabbits and they write on bunny shapes paper a fact about them. Then I do a fun one, usually I try a story, like "the day I helped the Easter bunny" or "the magic egg".
I am having problems with my scanner or I would send an attachment. They are hard to explain. You hold the envelopes vertically. Cut about 1/4 way across on a curve for the bunny nose. Then cut up for the ear and then back down. From the base of the ear cut across the last part of the envelope for the back of the head. I know these are not good instructions but it is something that's hard to explain without showing it to you. If you could see it you would understand how to make it. I can fax you a copy or mail you a bunny envelope. If you would like me to, just get on my private board and let me know your address or fax. These are really cute and just big enough for a handful of Easter grass and a few pieces of candy.
I just tried the bunny envelpoe and it worked out well. I think the instructions were great! That is, assuming I ended up with the correct result! Any way, I like the product and I will try it this year.
Thanks!
