extra income

I am trying to find something I can do in my "spare time" (ha-ha) that will bring in some much need money. I want to be able to work from my house b/c of my children. I have spent most of the evening looking for online jobs like typing, etc. but haven't had any luck. I won't pay a membership fee so that I can get jobs, unless I know it's not a scam. Has anyone had any luck in having in type of job like that? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Have you thought about tutoring? I charge $30 an hour per student. I use my classroom after school, but know quite a few teachers who tutor out of their homes.
