Funny Husband

I had to share this.... My husband called me this morning to let me know that he was coming home from work. I asked if he was sick, and he said "no...Jesse is driving me crazy. I've been here an hour and we've already butted heads about what to do with the crane. Forget it, I'm just coming home." Me on my way to work with kids all day just replied, "Well okay, can you do the laundry while you're there?" I hung up and just laughed and laughed. Can you imagine just leaving school because someone was driving you crazy? I don't think I would ever make it through a whole day! I had to share what a different world my other half lives in.

Wow

Boy, if that isn't a clue that our jobs are so much different than everyone else's!! The thing about our job is that there is usually more than one person driving us crazy and we have to stay in a small room with them for about 7 hours, 5 days a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least other jobs have cubicles and offices they can go to to get away!! The life of others....ohhhhhh!

No Way!

There is absolutely NO WAY my husband could do my job. He has a fit if all three of our children happen to be talking over each other at the same time in the car so I know he couldn't take 27 six year olds at once in my small classroom!

Husbands

Fortunately, my best friend/husband is a teacher, too. When our 2 kids were younger, (they are 25 & 23 now...sniffle-sniffle), we did the old, "Tag, You're IT", routine. We also took turns with using sick days, picking up from the babysitter, and doing laundry. I just hope that Judy24's laundry gets done today...and that no one, including her darling students, drives her 'crazy' today, because if they do, she's stuck! :-)

Glad you could chuckle, Judy24!

Gotta love it!

No wonder they don't understand what our stress level is. My husband is in construction, makes 2x the money I do, Leaves when he's finished (YES! HE ACTUALLY GETS FINISHED RATHER THAN COMING TO A STOPPING POINT!) , brings NOTHING home, has energy to play with our kids, dogs, friends, and has time for hobbies. Sometimes I hate him! ;)

Must be nice

Today I even thought that it would be nice to hold an adult conversation that isn't about someone's kid or use the bathroom when I need to go. I once heard a politician say that he tried being a teacher first but quit because he couldn't use the bathroom when he needed to.

hahahahahahaha!!!!

that is hilarious! sometimes students drive me crazy!!! we are reading "Sounder" (sorry, cant underline) in our social studies class and one student was reading the standards for the day and he was like, "I think you need to change the standard because we aren't doing the Great Depression!!" i mean, HELLO! that is the entire reason we are reading the book- to explain the effects of the GD!!! i told the class that i wanted to jump out the window!!! one girl said, "Take me with you!" so i had a good laugh before explaining the purpose of the book!

It was great!

I just wanted to let you all know that I came home to a spotless house! The laundry was done and put away. He even connected the DVD player that had been on the floor for months. I might be okay with him quitting his job now. Ha-ha!

if they only knew~

Wouldn't it be nice if they really KNEW what kind of day we have. I actually work with a teacher that has had the dream come true. Her husband took up subbing for a while with the attitiude how hard could it be???? Let's just say he lasted only a few weeks and now has an enormous amount of respect for what she does each day. He was clueless, but he as now seen the err of his ways. No longer does she hear complaints when she has to stay late to plan or prepare for the next day. That would be bliss!
