game spinners

Does anyone know a way to make spinners for a game board. We are doing explorer board games in Social Studies and I am not sure how to create a spinner that would actually work.

You can use diaper pins as the spinner. Stick in into a Cool Whip lid with a brad and you are set to go. You can also use it in a margarine bowl lid. Try to find one that doesn't have writing on it.
