Help! In need of second grade standards!

Help! I'm currently taking a class for my Master's, as well as working on completing my Level II certification portfolio, and am in need of the complete set of standards for the second grade level. I've looked on the PDE website (PA Dept. of Edu.) & all they have are Assessment Anchors for standards within grades 3, 5, 8, & 11. Are these what we use as standards?

Yes

There are no current standards for second grade in PA. We use the third grade standards and anchors.

Ok, that's what I've been going by, but wanted to be absolutely sure before I placed them within my Master's paper, as well as my Level II portfolio. Thanks!

I'm not sure if it's just our district, but we have to complete a Level II portfolio which consists of many different items including grade level standards, examples of lessons & student work, yearly goals, rating forms and more.

Mrs. Z, does this go along with your 426 form? I posted about that a while back. But we start building our portofolio the very first semester, and its quite informal.

You know, that's a good question! I'll have to ask my principal on that one. I just started gathering information about my Level II, & the standards are what floored me! After talking with a few other teachers in first & second grade, we all feel that there should be some sort of standards for our level in PA. I've been using the third & fourth grade level standards, or "anchors" to work from. When I read that we need standards for in this "portfolio", I became a little uneasy. Thanks for everyones input on the subject!!!
