How Long is Your Winter Break?

This is the first year in a long time that we get TWO FULL WEEKS OFF! Our last day is Friday, December 21, and we go back on Monday, January 7.

It works out great for me, because my husband and I (and our 9 month old son!) are flying to England for the two weeks. His family is from England, and they haven't met our DS yet. It will be nice that we can stay for two weeks. We are leaving on the 21st (I'm taking the day off) and coming back on the 4th. That way I'll have a couple days to rest and recuperate after the holiday, time change, and flight with a nine month old.

Winter Break

This used to be called Christmas vacation! We get 12 days. I do remember the time we used to get two full weeks with three weekends--so it was a NICE break!

We usually come back with visions of snow days lurking in our heads--not that we've had much snow in recent years (Tennessee).

We don't have an especially long break... esp. since Christmas falls on a Tuesday. Our last day before break is the Friday of Christmas weekend; we go back the day after New Year's. We've occasionally gotten a bonus day off (like an extra day ahead of the break), but this year we started late due to construction delays, so I know we are getting no extra days... we have three days to make up still.

Congrats on having such a nice, long vacation. It will be nice for you to spend some time in the UK w/o having to think about getting back on the plane after only a few days.

Winter Break

Our last day is Friday and we go back the day after New Years. Sometimes we get a bonus day after New Year's Day depending on when it falls.

My last day is Dec. 21 and We return to school on Feb. 1 to set up our new rooms. I am on a year round schedule and this is one of my vacation months. How great to get such a long break at this time of year.

We get out on December 19 (Half-day for us--yay!!) and return to school on January 7.

Christmas break

We get out at noon on December 21st, and teachers head back January 2 Kids come back the 3rd. I thought we had a pretty good deal until I read some of these posts! I hope everyone enjoys their break, however long it is. We deserve it!

Winter Break

We go half a day on the 20th. We are off the 21st and we get two full weeks off. The students go back on January 8th. The teacher's have a Staff Development day on January 7th. I can hardly wait!!

We get out on Friday the 14th and return on the 3rd! Three whole weeks!
