I’ve always been a shoe girl, but I have just upped my shoe game because I have discovered that I can wear big kid sizes. A whole world of cute new athletic shoes just opened up.

And, better yet, the kid shoes are WIDER than the comparable women’s styles. Who knew?

Yes! These are a kids size 4 - I got them when I complemented them on one of my students. She snarkily told me it was too bad I had to wear old people shoes. (For the record, I was 30.) You better believe I drove to the store that night at wore them to school the next day. My first pair of light up shoes.

I can wear a 3 1/2 - 4 in kid's shoes, and it totally opens up your shoe game! Glad you discovered the fun shoes!

I’ve always been able to wear kids sizes. The happiest day of my life was when I discovered light up boots. They were so cool.

I discovered that a couple months ago. We went to REI to get me fitted for hiking shoes. Nothing fit comfortably. Then the salesman had me try kids’ shoes. They fit great and saved me a lot of money!

Kids Shoes

No one in my circle wears kids' shoes except me. I can wear either size 2,3, or 4. I'm a size 5 in women's but most of the shoes I like start in size 7. It is rare to find so many of you with the same. Kids' shoes rock.

I wear a 7 or 8 depending on the style and width. The kid shoes I’ve bought have been a 5 or a 6.

Thank you, dutchgirl! That was helpful. I might have to give it a try. I really had no idea! At 6.5/7 shoe size on my 5’2” frame, I never thought I had very small feet.
