ICT for kindergarten and elementary school

I'm a student and as a project of my school we need to look for teachers,educators,professors etc. from all over the world and to find out what the think about ICT in education , What the developments are about ICt in schools, what are the advantages and disadvantages etc.. In other words your opinion about ICT and education.

I use ICT in my classroom as much as possible. I'm not sure what your definition of ICT is, but to me it is using all the technologies available to me, computers, cameras and anything else I can get my hands on. I think that these days we need to prepare kids for the reality of their world, their world is going to include so much technology that we can not even imagine, that we have to do our absolute best for them. I see so many people even in their early 20's who really have no idea of how to make use of technologies, and that really amazes me. The advantages of technology - preparing kids for their future. The disadvantages - anything worth using costs way more than most schools can afford. ICT is kind of a thing for me, so if I haven't fully answered your question then feel free to email me.

i am from new zealand, and I teach my kids with whatever i am lucky enough to have access to. We have microsoft office in all our schools, so the kids can learn to make powerpoints (which they love) schools with macs can use itunes, garageband and imovie, all of which i love using with my kids because even the 6 year olds can produce some pretty awesome stuff.
