Hi, everyone! I got to come back online earlier than the 3 weeks...my husband found out after he got in Jackson that his classes wouldn't be back to back for 3 weeks...actually his next classes don't start until January, so he's back here, so he can continue his search for a job. Not sure if he'll be able to finish the rest of his classes or not, since he really needs a job right now. But, I just thought I'd let you know that I'm back online, and he and my little munchkin are back here with me. I might have missed one holiday with them,(halloween) but it won't be two holidays. I'm very happy about that. P.S. I also wanted to say that I appreciate everyone's kind and thoughtful words, since my short departure from this fun, and eventful site! I love hanging out here!

P.S. I'm now walking 4 out of 5 days a week with a cane now, and I'm working in therapy on walking up and down steps, and on Friday, I got moved up a level with the steps...and also had to start trying to balance on one leg...now that...was interesting. Made me feel like I was in a circus...lol

Glad to hear everything is going well. I'm especially glad that you are getting around better.

Didn't you say you were from New Orleans at one time? My mother's family was from there ( they are all dead now) and I am wondering if you know any thing about the hurricane damage in zip 70124. They lived on Fleur De Lis Dr. which is by Veteran's blvd and I10. I know this is crazy because they have been gone for several years but it really bothers me that the house may no longer be there. Any info and who I could contact for info would be helpful.

Gloria, I have heard of that boulevard, but..

I'm not from New Orleans. I live 50 miles north of New Orleans. I'm originally from southeastern Louisiana, and have heard of Veteran's Boulevard, but not Fleur De Lis Dr. (My little one's doc was at Tulane.)
