Introducing spelling words

Hello! How do you introduce your weekly spelling words? My 20 words usually are from the same word families, for example this week's words all have "ea." It's only the 6th week of school and I'm already bored with this. Any ideas?

Spelling words

Hi,
I'll have the students at the carpet and give them a clue about their spelling word. eg. she flies at hallowe'en-witch. I've also give them the word and have them find smaller words inside the bigger words and point out important spelling clues in that word. I'll also say the first 3 words and have them guess the spelling pattern.
