Is this all part of the changes?

A few things I've noticed when I logged on to PT today.

First, a certain board ("secret board") has disappeared. It used to be on the left hand side below my name. It's no more. I looked through the first few pages of my post to see if I could find something I posted on that board to access it, but I couldn't find any posts I made to the board. I'm not sure if it's because they got rid of it or if it's because I haven't posted on there in that time frame (I don't remember the last time I posted there, but I think it was some time this summer.

Second, when I went to my inbox, I had a message that my inbox was full. It said I was only allowed 250 messages and that I had over 1,000. I'll be honest, I never delete PMs. I deleted those and it's all fixed, but today was the first time that message appeared to me.

Third, I went to send a PM (after I deleted all of my inbox messages) and it said "You must be a junior member to send a PM". I can see from my post count that I'm still identified as a senior member.

Is this impacting anyone else or just me? I'm assuming it's part of the changes, but I wanted to check. I wish the editors were more specific on what to expect during these changes, so when we had problems, we would know if it was because of the redesign or something else.

I haven’t experienced any changes yet. However, I don’t log in and out of the site. I just stay logged in on my phone.

No changes for me either, all boards still available and my PM folder says up to 5000 messages will be stored.

It may be they’ll not roll out changes to everyone at once, do it similar to how fb makes changes.

Hmmm...

I stay logged in too. The only other thing I can think of is that I changed my e-mail address because the one I used when PT first started was my college one, which is deleted. I wonder if that has something to do with it. I changed the e-mail address last night. I logged on this morning, but I didn't notice anything different. These changes could have already occurred when I logged in this morning, but because I didn't post anything or check out every board, I might not have noticed them. That's the only thing I can think of if you guys aren't experiencing changes.

Tctrojan sent me a PM with a link to the secret board. It wouldn't let me access it through the link, either. It said I did not have rights to that board, most likely because I was a new member. When I went to reply to Tctrojan's message, it wouldn't let me reply to the PM either, saying I must be a junior member. I know certain members can't send PMs, but I thought everyone could always reply. It wouldn't even let me reply! I had to do the quick chat thing to reply.

I read the most recent post by Steeler Fan. Don’t change your email right now no matter wha. Those who have changed it lost their senior member status as far as privileges are concerned, yet when they post, it still says they have it.

That explains it! If I change it back to my original e-mail (even though it doesn't exist anymore), would I get the privileges back?

Man, I wish we had a timeline for these changes. I also find it "odd" that they editors posted about the changes but yet there are issues like this still going on. They don't appear to be AWOL anymore, seeing they posted earlier this week, but they sure still seem like it!

Sounds like it was definitely the email thing. The site is working pretty normally for me- but for some reason there are times when a PT page doesn't load right away, or I get an error message about having no internet (even though other web pages are working fine). I always panic thinking the site is down again! But then a minute or so later, it works again.

I interpreted the editor's message as saying the site would be down or parts wouldn't be working during the changes. I hope we get a notification/expected timeline before then.
