Hi,
Can you believe that there are 3 weeks left of school and my principal is doing observations??!! Any ideas will be helpful...picture books, adjectives, etc....

Write on-adjective lesson

Divide your kids into groups of four or five and have a different picture (get a photo pic from clip art) for each student in the group. Then give them about 30 seconds with their picture to write down all the adjectives they can think of to describe that picture.
Then after 30 seconds have them pass the picture to the right and they will get another one. This way they can become inspired by what other students write. You can encourage them to come up with better (we call them sparking words) adjectives than what is already there. Ex. If someone wrote yummy for a picture of cake they could write delicious or scrumptious. Let them have a chance to write on each pic 2x. Then they can share some of their favorite adjectives that their group came up with.
