Anything we need.
We have a literacy coordinator, however, in our county she is called a "Literacy Coach". She is in charge of our weekly "study group" meetings where we are supposed to discuss and create units. These session usually turn in to a b**** and moan session because of the AP, but that is a different story.
She will do anything we ask. For instance, she will come in your class and model a lesson. She will help grade writing papers if you are behind. She typed the standards, printed and laminated them for all 6,7, and 8 grade ELA teachers. She will pull materials if you need her to or do a running record on a kid if you don't have time.
The bad thing is a lot of teachers treated her very poorly, and she is so easy going she doesn't say anything to them.
But, believe me, it took a long time for us to get used to the idea of having a "coach".
