Hello Canadian Teachers! I will be sharing my knowledge of writing instruction throughout Canada this spring and wondered if anyone could help me with some research. I would like to know if there are provincial assessments in writing? Is there a web site I could go to about teaching writing in Canada? Thanks for your help!

In Edmonton, all students also write Highest Level of Achievement Tests in both reading and writing in May.

Also, many teachers in Edmonton use the Balanced Literacy Program in addition to 6+1 Traits writing.
