Mad Libs

Does anyone know of a website that has printable Mad Libs, sometimes known as Ad Libs? They are those worksheets with a passage that has blanks for filling in your own noun, verb, adverb, etc.
Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately, I don't know of a website that has Mad Libs, but Scholastic usually has a pack of the Mad Libs booklets for a good price. I use them sometimes at the end of the day, when we are getting ready to leave. We go around the room, and I write their answers on a piece of notebook paper (so I can reuse the book).

no website, but....

I recently found a mad libs card game at Wal-Mart. My kids LOVE it, and they have no clue that they're learning while they're playing. It's definitely worth the $3.00-$4.00 for the cards.

card game-grade level?

The card game you found, what grade levels do you think it would be for? Did you find it in the toy dept at Wal-Mart? Was it on one of those hanging hooks or on a shelf? Thanks, I would like to see about buying one for my second graders if it is appropriate.

I don't know of a website, but youcan make your own... from a novel study you are doing or something like that... I had one for when we were reading Holes... you just need to find a good passage from the book...

hmmm....

I found it in Wal-Mart in the toy dept. on a shelf-like fixture with several other educational card games. I think it could be appropriate for 2nd graders. You may need to take out a few of the more difficult words and play with them for a while until they really understand it. Also, they'll need to know that adjectives modify nouns and adverbs modify verbs. I really do think they'd enjoy it once they got the hang of it.

I found it! Thank you for the info. They had some other good looking card games too. That Scrambled States looked like a good school game. I am anxious to try my new game but I need to sit down and read the directions.

Help

How do you play mad libs card game? You do keep dealing out new cards for each round? Let's say you get a 4 word sentence for the first round, do you have to deal out new cards again to try to make a six word sentence for the same first round? I guess what I'm asking is, how do you continue the game after you've found a four word sentence?

Very confused!!!!!!!

You need to make a 4 AND a 6 word sentence with your 10 cards before the first round is over.

Shannon,
If you get a lead on where to get the instruction card for Mad Libs Card game, please post it. We got one for our kids for Christmas and it didn't have the instruction card.
