Mouse in my House part 4

OK , my house is not being taken over by mice, but I caught my second mouse in two days in my son's room. UGH! The little critters are coming in and out of the radiator. My mom said to open it up and stick steel wool inside. Well I'll kill it, but I am not sticking my hand inside where they can crawl on me. The super will be getting a call .

Tis the season

for mice...I had one run acrros the kitchen floor on tuesday morning. The cat went after it, but it got behind the dishwasher and it must have gone in the cellar! Darn pests!

Your mom is right- steel wool is about the only thing that will stop them from coming through a hole. I had a mouse problem several years ago- didn't realize it for a long time. Then I realized that all the little brown spots under my kitchen sink were from mice- who would sit on the drain pipe staring at me when I dared to open the cabinet. I bought some pesticide stuff- I can't remember now what it was called-d-con maybe? Came in a wedge shaped box that was filled with blue crystals. They mice eat it, take it back to their nest and they kick the bucket. As gross as this is, it dehydrates them so they don't stink when they die. It fixed my problem within a couple of days. I know that a lot of people don't like the idea of using poison, but if you are desperate enough, it works!<!--thanksgiving1-->

Haven't kept up with this mouse saga, so forgive me if someone has already mentioned this, but have you tried one of those electronic emitters that you plug in? It emitts a sound that humans and cats and dogs don't hear, but it runs the mice off. My mom and dad got one and haven't had a problem w/mice or rats since and they live in an area that is being developed, so there are lots of critters being evicted. Just a thought! Happy Thanksgiving! <!--thanksgiving1-->
