Mouse in my house Part2

I took everyone's advice and got all kinds of different traps and put them around the apartment. So last night (Around 11:30) I am in the living room watching TV, the dog starts acting strange. She keeps on trying to get under the computer table and trying to dig into the printer. I moved the table-nothing, I look under the table- nothing, looked behind the printer -nothing. This went on for about 20 minutes. So then I decided to move the printer and a mouse ran out of the printer. I yelled, tried stepping on it as I am chasing into kitchen, while the dog is chasing it too. We were tripping over each other. It was a sight to see. I must have a ninja mouse living in our apartment.

Lol!

About the time you posted about mouse traps, we had 2 mice get in! One I caught right away in the basement in a glue trap. The second one got up into the kitchen. I was sitting at the kitchen table, reading the paper, and I could hear this rustling sound. I asked my DH what that noise was. He didn't know, either. So I looked where the sound was coming from. It was in the cupboard under the sink. So I looked further and there was a mouse in the garbage! How convenient, I thought! I lifted the sack out of the wastebasket and stood there looking at it when the mouse jumped out of one of the holes it had chewed in the bag! It fell onto the floor and I'm trying to stomp on it, yelling my head off, and it's confused and runs across to another cabinet and I get it cornered and stomp it hard, but I didn't hurt it, darn! Then it ran another direction and I couldn't find it. I had run our of glue traps, so I stuck a couple of the regular type of traps around the kitchen. Well, it took a couple of days, but one night I heard the familiar snap! of the trap and there he was! Our cats got a little snack that nite! Your post reminded me of my adventures in mouse hunting! Thanks for the laughs! :p

Ugh, I hate mice. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing their is a mouse on the loose in my house. I hope you find him soon! <!--yuck-->

A cat!

Is a cat an option? My cat is the best mouser I have ever seen! My neighbors constantly have mice problems but not us. Skeeter will often leave us a "present" by the front door. I think the mice have gotten the message and have left our property!:D

My cat's a great mouser too. We live back in the woods, so mice aren't uncommon, especially with all the building going on around us. The more woods that are cleared, the more critters start showing up in our area. Our cat sure does a quick job of removing them if they're foolish enough to enter his domain.

Time for that yearly eye exam...

The second one got up into the kitchen. I was sitting at the kitchen table, reading the paper, and I could hear this rustling sound.

I was reading this and read the sentence as "IT" was sitting at the kitchen table... " then when I got to "reading the paper," dawned on me I'd read it wrong..

Allergic

I would get a cat but I am severly allergic. Last time I was in a house that had a cat I felt like I was struggling to breath , my hubby was ready to rush me to the hospital(it was that bad). I tried to take an allergy medicine and I felt like my heart was racing.

And you know

we have an army of cats that sit on our back steps! I think they watch for the mice to go in and for us to throw them back out to them! ;) No work involved for them! They are the worst mousers!
