Need some advice

My cooperating teacher and I have about $200 from a local organization to spend on art or science supplies for the children. We need to spend the money soon. Does anyone have any really creative ideas for projects that we could buy the supplies for? We already have ideas for snowflakes out of spaghetti and glitter for winter and we are making window clings out of glue and food coloring in spring. Any other ideas would be great. THanks in advance

Third grade. We also have 26 kids in each class.

spending money

You could use it to fill up your art supply cupboard with a new supply of paints, pastels, pipecleaners, glitter, new brushes, cotton, tracers, doilies, yarn, playdough etc that would last for crafts for the whole year, even plastic storage bins to keep them in. Hit Michael's on a sale day.

If you want to spend it on one particular project, how about those clear glass Christmas ornaments that you put acrylic paints into for Christmas gifts? Or use it as an honorarium for a local artist (painter, stained glass, pottery, paper maker, carver, jeweller, someone who works with felt or wool) to come into your classes to work with them to produce a special project..
