New Year's Day dinner

Do you have a big meal on New Year's Day? What do you have?

I'm not a fan of NYE or NYD so I'm sort of at a loss as to what to cook. In the past I've made a big dinner (ham or prime rib or even turkey) but also smaller meals (lasagna, etc).

Help! I need to go to the store. <!--giggle-->

Paella

We have paella- this year mixto (sea and land) and vegetarian. Buying saffron for the rice is decadent. Pair with a nice Spanish wine y ya lo tienes! I wanted to do Spanish tapas also, but ran out of time to do the research. Next year!

Luck food!

It's an odd blend of traditions from my family and DH's...
black eyed peas
greens
sauerkraut
kielbasa
cornbread

It ends up working well, especially with a cold beer. <!--yummy-->

Just DH and I...

Stuffed mushrooms, teice baked potatoes, fresh bread, shrimp cocktail, tenderloin, and crab stuffed lobster on the grill... yummy stuff! :D

For the past 30 years we have had hot dogs and saurkraut for New Year's Day. Once I tried to make pork chops and kraut for a change, but was quickly vetoed!
