Observation Ideas?

I'm being obseved next week by the building principal. I planning on doing my lesson on Combining Sentences (Compound Sentences). Does anyone have any on an interesting way to do this?? Thank you in advance for any help!!! :O)

Write the sentences on sentence strips. Write each of conjunctions on postcards. Get the kids involved by letting them be the sentences and the conjunction to put the sentences together. It gets the kids up out of their seats and makes you look good at the same time. :-)
