PA or Maryland Certification

I am a NJ certified teacher interested in PA certification. Has anyone gone through the process? If so can you share your experience. Their website states the process would be 3 to 6 weeks. I have passed the NJ Reading Praxis and K-5 Content Knowledge.
Will PA require me to take a PA Praxis?
I also looked into Maryland. They said get a job in Maryland first, then we'll certify you, as we accept everything from NJ. PA wants you certified before you apply.
Has anyone taught in both states?

Maryland issues temp certification if you are certified in another state. Then you must fulfill their requirement within a couple of years. I taught in MD for 5 years then I moved back to PA and have been teaching for the last 10 years. If you go to MD and want to keep your PA teaching cetification you must complete ACT 48 hours.
