Plato's Closet

Has anyone ever sold clothing to Plato's Closet? Its a consignment shop for juniors, and I have a ton of stuff to get rid of, most of it is from my 17 year old sister's closet. I was wondering if its even worth my time to sell them. I usually just donate my old clothes, but this could be a good way to make some money.

My son and two daughters sell clothes to them often. You have to have thick skin, because they'll root through your things and take whatever they think they can resell, and sometimes it doesn't seem fair. And, it depends on whom is looking at the clothing--very subjective. My daughter has put rejects back in a bag and gone back when a different person is working and they were taken the second time! Good luck--you can always donate what you can't sell.

very picky

My 19 year old daughter cleaned out her closet this summer and took 3 bags of clothes to Plato's Closet. She was so disappointed that they only took about 3 items. She said they were borderline rude about it too. All her stuff was from American Eagle, Abercrombie, Tommy Hilfiger, Limited, Express...you know the teenage drill. She was very hurt and does not want to do business with them again. Luckily we have another consignment shop in town that took all of Plato's rejects and so her closet cleanup paid off.
