is a WONDERFUL book of color poems. Start off by having a random kid pick a color. Then read the poem aloud. They're enchanting! The kids really like this. They will all be asking to be the next one to pick a color. I would decide in advance how I was going to choose the kids who get to pick. It will take around 25-30 minutes to get through all the poems, once you allow for waiting for everyone to settle down before you begin each poem, and time to talk about it afterward (a little, not a whole lot--don't ruin the experience of these delightful poems by over-analyzing). You can get this book at any library, anywhere. The author's name is O'Neill.
