Recent Grad Gift

I have a friend who is graduating in a couple of weeks from college. I would like to get her something as a graduation gift. She will be working in an inner-city summer program this year with grades 3-5. I'd like to get some kind of theme going on for the gift, but I'm not sure what route to take. I was thinking of getting her the Chicken Soup for a Teacher's Soul...but that's about all I can come up with. I'd like to spend about $40. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I would go for a pampering type of theme - she'll need it after finishing college then working in an inner city school! The book is great idea - and add to it some bubble bath, a nice soothing CD (Kenny G is always good!), some lotion, candle, and chocolates. If you want to put more "teacher" stuff in there, you can always add a gift card to a teacher store for $20. (and cut back on the other items).

How about a nice frame for her diploma. I would definately enjoy that and she can put it in her room.

The best gifts I got for graduation this year are gift certificates to Walmart, Staples, Office Depot, various teaching stores, or just plain cash!
