Recipe software

I would like to organize all the recipes I have handwritten or torn out from magazines, etc. into a computer program. I would also like to be able to get a nutritional analysis for each recipe. I really don't need MORE recipes....just a way to organize and store them.

Anyone have suggestions? Pros? Cons?

Thanks!

scan

I scan mine and save them in a folder with the name of the recipe. That folder goes into another folder that is categorized (baking, entree, vegetable dish,etc.). Then I stick it into a general My Recipes folder.
Don't know about the nutritional analysis component though.

I'll look this up for you

I'm at school right now, just read your post for the first time. I have a program on my computer at home, and if I could think of it I would write it now. I'll get on either tonight or tomorrow before school and give you the name. It's free to download. I don't believe it does the nutritional analysis. It's easy to find a particular recipe by ingredient or by title.

I had bought a program called Diet Balancer, in which I can input my food for the day and it gives the nutrional breakdown for each item. There is a companion program by the same company, in which you can input recipes and get the nutrition per serving. That one would cost you to download. I don't think it acts as a recipe storage, though. I'm not allowed at school to do a web search for a personal reason, so I will also do this when I get home.
