I Need To Build A Vehicle That Can Move 3 Meters And Stay Within 1 Meter Of Its Path. It Cannot Utilize Electricty And Has To Be Hand Crafted

Action-Reaction Car

Design a vehicle that can throw a heavy weight. The car will go in the opposite direction.

Ideas:

• Make the vehicle light by using light wood or styrofoam for the chassis.
• Use bottle caps or jar lids for wheels.
• Use rubberbands or springs to make a slingshot or catapult to launch a heavy fishing weight for the action.
• The distance that the vehicle moves can be controlled by varying the number of weights in the catapult.
• Use a birthday cake candle to burn through a string to trigger the launch. This way you won't have to touch the car to make it go.
