Solar System bulletin board

Hi, I need some ideas for fun bulletin boards for a third grade solar system unit. Thanks for any help!!

bulletin board

I put a huge rocket on my door. The door is covered in black paper and I put each child's name on yellow star.

One year I bought a notepad cutout of an astronaut. I cut the face part out and put in a picture of each child in it. So cute!!!!

Headings could be: Mrs. A's room is reaching for the stars!
3rd Grade.....What a Blast!
We're Out of this World!

Phases of the Moon

I did a bullentin board on the phases of the moon. I had the students create the phases out of paper plates (the cheapest ones work the best). They painted the plates with gray paint (or mix black and white paint). Then they cut them in the different phases. It was really cute. Make sure you label each phase.
