How do you get rid of them, lol! Any tried and true lotions or "recipes" to make them less prominent?

Vitamin C

I've had luck with Vitamin C serum. I get it in a dropper bottle at Ulta or online. Keep it n a drawer or dark place when it's not being used. My challenge is getting them to lighten in the summer because they come back easily. I'm diligent with sunscreen, often wear CC cream with sunscreen, and wear a hat in the sun all year round.

Stupid question, but I googled “age spots” images because I don’t know what they are. Some of the pictures look like freckles, others look like bigger freckles. How are they different from freckles?

I’ve had (and hated) freckles all my life. Strangely enough they seem to be fading the older I get. Maybe everyone just gets freckles for part of their lives. For some of it it is the first half of our lives, for others it is as they get older. Therefore, they aren’t truly age spots.

Imateacher, age spots

I had a boyfriend in college who gave me a small poster that read

A girl without freckles is like a night without stars.

That's when I truly began to not mind my freckles. When I was younger, I had one of those Chatty Cathy dolls. She had some freckles. I once took an ink pen and marked each one as I counted them. She had 34. I then counted mine with the pen. I had 33. I won although my mother didn't think I had won. She thought I had made a mess on my face.

When I was a teenager, I decided I was going to tan myself so much that I'd have one big giant tan colored freckle. It didn't work. I just turned red.

Now that I'm into my 60's, they've mostly gone away on my face. My arms still have a bunch but you'd have to look for them since they are so faded and tiny. My legs never had freckles. <!--eyebrow--> They also now don't have hair. Nice!

Thanks

Ima: I wish they were just freckles. They're much bigger and just ugly and make me feel old.
TimeforBed: thanks for the article
SteelerFan: I think I have some vitamin C serum somewhere, I'll try that!
