What do you want in a staff development workshop? Do you prefer hands-on, lecture only, handouts, etc?

hands on and hand outs. Definitely not lectures. I am so much more motivated when I'm actively engaged. It is a rare day when someone can lecture and keep my attention! Yes, I do try to keep this in mind when teaching!

I want an idea that I can take back to my class the next day and use it. I present a lot of technology workshops for my district. Teachers love to walk out with the step by step directions that I provide for them. They want something that they can take back to their class/home and work through on their own just as we did in the workshop.
