Staying in third!

I'm the one that posted earlier about missing 3rd grade (I'm a looping teacher, and currently teach 4th). I just found out today that I'll be able to loop back down to 3rd and stay there! I had requested that a few months ago, but was unsure if it would happen due to other teacher's requests. Anyway, just wanted to share my good news with you. Although I'm not currently teaching 3rd, I'm still lurking on this board to get ideas for next year (and sharing ideas from when I taught it last year).

Thanks, Petunia! I'm not even through with this year, and I'm already thinking about next year! I even caught myself looking at the 2nd graders walking down the hall today, to see who I might have next year!

Isn't that funny how we all try to guess what next year's crop of students will be like by watching them walk down the hall!! This time of year is open season for student watching, the only ones safe are the 5th graders because they are leaving for middle school. I even go and sit in on my planning period to get a close up. lol
