Summarizing Help!

Does anyone have a good way to incorporate the skill of summarizing into a center? I want to have them do something besides just write a summary of a book. I want them to get practice, but in a more creative, fun way.

I don't know if this helps, but in the past, I have paired students up to read from a text or a review sheet, what ever. Anyway, one student is a reader, and the other a listener. The reader reads the info, and then the listener orally summerizes what has been said. I have found this a good tool with students, espcelially pairing up students who read well but don't comprehend well, with students who comprehend well, but have trouble decoding text. Hope this helps
